This project consists of a series of animated illustrations created as part of a design assignment for a fictional Olympic Games. The illustrations are done in pixel art style, each representing a different Olympic discipline. Every icon was designed within a strict 16x16 pixel grid and limited to a few colors in order to authentically reflect the technical constraints of the time.The icons were crafted to remain clearly legible in motion and to succinctly capture the characteristic movements of each discipline.

The illustrations were created in the pixel art software Aseprite. Each animation began with defining keyframes, for example, the weightlifter’s motion was structured around three key barbell positions: low, middle, and overhead. Based on these, the rhythm and timing of the animation were set. Finally, the in-between frames were hand-drawn to complete each icon.
